After Hurricane Michael changed everything in 2018, Preston didn’t just help rebuild a marina — he helped rebuild a place people feel at home.

We said farewell to our General Manager, Preston Sutter, the St. Joe way — with a fish fry, oysters, and a community gathering at Point South Marina filled with the people and spirit he helped create.

He was there through every step of the design, planning, and rebuilding process, helping turn a storm-damaged space back into the heart of the waterfront. As General Manager, he didn’t just rebuild docks — he built a team, a culture, and a sense of community that will carry this marina forward long after his time here.

The people, the atmosphere, and the standard he set are part of the reason this place feels the way it does today.

Port St. Joe will truly miss him, but the foundation he laid will continue to shape this place long into the future.

Thank you, Preston, for everything you poured into this marina and this town. You set us up well. We hope you visit often!
